Positive and Negative Reinforcement

Description

Consequent Strategies: Consequences happen after a behavior occurs to either increase or decrease behavior.  Consequences that increase behavior are called reinforcement.  Consequences that decrease behavior are called punishment.

Both reinforcement and punishment can be positive (something is added to the environment) or negative (something is removed from the environment).  Each are defined below:
